Wings of Hope Recovery Awarded seCTerRise Grant to Expand Recovery Housing in Connecticut

We’re starting this week with incredible news: Wings of Hope Recovery has been approved for the seCTerRise grant, a highly competitive program funded through the Department of Economic and Community Development. This grant is designed to support small businesses and organizations in Connecticut that are making an impact in their communities, and we’re honored to have been chosen from such an impressive pool of applicants.

This grant represents so much more than funding. It’s a recognition of the vital role recovery housing plays in the lives of individuals and families across Connecticut. At Wings of Hope, our mission has always been to break down the barriers to recovery by providing safe, supportive, and structured sober living homes. With this support, we can expand scholarships and financial aid, giving more people the opportunity to enter recovery housing when they need it most.

Recovery is not a straight road. Finances are often one of the biggest obstacles people face when seeking help. This funding allows us to extend a hand where it’s needed most—whether that means covering initial housing costs, helping residents find stable work through workforce partnerships, or creating a structured environment where accountability and community drive progress.

In addition, we’ll continue to strengthen our partnerships with local organizations, including Liberty Bank, where residents gain valuable financial planning skills to prepare for long-term stability. These programs ensure our residents are not only rebuilding their lives in recovery but also laying the foundation for independence and success beyond our homes.

We are beaming with pride and gratitude for this opportunity, and for the chance to continue building hope and healing across Connecticut. This is a step forward for Wings of Hope, but more importantly, it’s a step forward for every resident who will now have access to the recovery housing, resources, and support they deserve.
